Cuban Salsa

Rueda de Casino means “casino wheel”. This wheel/circle consists of pairs, dancing Cuban salsa. Each step or combination of steps has a specific command. There is a “caller” that will call the commands.

Most of the commands include couple dancing, partner change, and movement in the circle.

Theater for Adults

Alina teaches the fundamentals of theater such as stage directions, theater technique and building stage presence. Among other many exercises, uses improv which can be taught alongside theater or an improv class by itself.

She can also teach character development and script analysis, for the more seasoned actors.

Artist in the Classroom

Ventura County’s arts teaching residency program, grades K-8. These professional artist educators partner with the classroom teachers to deliver engaging, inspiring, and empowering California Arts Standard-aligned lessons. Artists in the Classroom offer other forms of art as well.

Direct

Alina has directed over 200 shows which consist of after-school programs, summer camps, college performances and community theater.

  • A method of theatre-making in which the script is created with the cast and director. This can be a completely original piece or an adaptation of a story already created.

    Offered to children and adults

  • Alina’s experience directing theater summer camps is unprecedented. She adds physicality to the musicals for the wonderful kids that walk through the doors.

  • The program can be curtailed to the school’s needs. Whether it is a one day workshop or an 8 - 12 week session. All programs end in a performance.
